The search for members of the Yoruba Nation group in Nigeria headed by Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho continues as members of his groups are being targeted and arrested by the Nigerian military and police forces.
The development has endangered relatives of members in this group recorded another recent search for members, who are believed to be close to the leader, was made in Lagos and Ibadan.
Relatives and friends of members are being harassed and threatened to provide the whereabouts of members of the group. One Mr. Ganiyu Hakeem, Adam Omoniyi, Mufutau Balogun, Mojeed Azeez, Morenike Salawu, and many more were subjected to this inhumane behavior by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The search has led to some members of the group fleeing into hiding and seeking refuge in neighboring countries and abroad. The leader was recently released from prison in the Benin Republic under strict conditions and restrictions.
The leader and founder of the group Professor Banji Akintoye, Wale Adeniran, and many more have fled the country for their lives. The news that recently got to the group was that members were told that officials and non-official elements were ready to come to their houses, kill them, dismember their bodies, and do the same to Professor Adeniran, and his deputy and other members.
The Yoruba Nation has carried out several rallies in Nigeria, one of which was the democracy day rally at the freedom square, kudiratu Abiola Garden Ojota Lagos state where several of the Yoruba Nation members were beaten and seriously wounded.
