Fakunle Sheriff Ekundayo reports

The executive chairman of Amuwo-Odofin Local Government, Engineer Valentine Buraimoh has described the comparison of Peter Obi to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as insulting.

He made the observation at the bi-monthly meeting of the Chief Press Secretaries {CPS}, held in Amuwo-Odofin Local Government on Tuesday.

Speaking on the presidential election, the council mayor, Buraimoh was of the opinion that the All Progressives Congress {APC}, presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s political record is monumental and that electorates should be guided through facts and public orientations.

He added: “His Excellency, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the ideal president for Nigeria. He is a unifier who will improve the security system, ensure unity of all tribes, and promotes economic prosperity of this country.”

He urged supporters of the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, to desist from what he described as reckless manipulations of facts and figures by embracing objective dialogue, adding that “The masses must not be bullied into voting for a candidate that is not their choice.”

He charged the grassroots media aides {CPS}, across the 57 local governments and local council developments in Lagos State, to take up the responsibility of dispelling the ‘habitual manipulation of facts’ by the Labour Party supporters.

“You must be alert to safeguard the integrity and administrative legacies of the ruling party in Lagos and Nigeria as we push forward for the victory of our national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at the 2023 general elections,” he said.
