Says Governor declaration on 20 LGs’ and 37 LCDAs’ a massive win for democracy
Prince Wale Oluwa the executive chairman aspirant for the executive chairman poll under the All Progressives Congress {APC} in Ajeromi-Ifelodun local government has hailed Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
The business mogul cum politician made the assertion Tuesday, as part of the growing public reactions to the interview of Mr Governor on national television, over the affirmation by the governor that there was going to be an election in the 20 local governments and 37 local council development areas in Lagos State.
Describing Mr Governor’s response to matters affecting the local government election in Lagos State, Prince Wale Oluwa said it was a massive win for democracy.
“The decision of Governor Sanwo-Olu to respond in the affirmative on matters affecting the local government election for 2025 served as a political relief for those who have stood as vanguard of democracy in Lagos since 1999.
“This confirmation by Mr Governor will assure the people of their continuous drive towards bringing dividends of democracy closer to the people at the grassroots.
“And Governor Sanwo-Olu has just allayed their fears with such confirmation that corroborated the official declaration by the State party chairman of APC Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi that elections would be conducted in 20 local governments and 37 local council development areas in Lagos State,” he said.
