A man identified as Chief Akande Babalola was alleged to have masterminded the death of one Mrs. Josephine Abosede Babalola, who was 5 months pregnant when she was attacked in her home in Iba Estate. It was gathered that the deceased husband, Mr. Bamidele Samuel, age 53 years, a civil servant with the Lagos State Ministry of Education was having a dispute with his uncle, Chief Akande Babalola who was unsatisfied with how his brother (late Benjamin Babalola) shared his inheritance which was willed to his only son, Bamidele.

A few months later, his uncle Chief Babalola invited Bamidele with his wife to his house in order to settle the truce between them. After the truce settlement, they were served a meal which he didn’t eat but his wife ate which later led to the loss of their unborn child.

The incident according to information gathered was reported to the Igando Police Station where the uncle was invited and investigated but denied the allegations.

It was reported according to the victim’s account that rancour continued until August 2022 when a case of murder incident was alleged.

Information gathered from eyewitnesses narrated how two men invaded Bamidele’s house in his absence. The two fierce-looking men requested to see Mr Bamidele from the wife who was with her kids (Benita and Praise).

Both of them were with their late mother when the incident occurred, and were able to escape in the process but eavesdrop into the conversation that alleged that there was an agreement with Chief who sent them killers.

The kids later saw their mom on the ground in an unresponsive state before calling for help.

Our sources revealed that Mr Bamidele Babalola with his two kids after experiencing this trauma and emotional damage done to his family over the gruesome murder of his beloved wife ran away with his kids to an unknown destination while the Nigerian Police are still investigating the matter in order to fish out the perpetrators of the slain Mrs. Bamidele.
