Religion: Olawale Haruna Ariyo Ramadan Lecture Get’s better With Sheikh Abdul-Rahman’s sermon on Islamic Unity

– Daughter of Alhaji Ariyo, Husseinat, stole the show with her rendition of a Surah from the glorious Holy Qur’an

 

THE OLAWALE HARUNA ARIYO FOUNDATION annual Ramadan lecture came to the fore once more on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Layinka Street in Aiyetoro, Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area.

 

The guest lecturer, Sheikh Abdul-Rahman spoke on Unity of Islamic brotherhood and the true Islam for various Muslim denominations in Nigeria.

 

According to the revered Islamic cleric, he identified Shaytan (Devil) and the heart among other two as basic factors that influenced most Muslim worshippers to deviate from the norms and practices acceptable and prescribed through the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW) .

 

“The Devil and the minds of people contribute to many Muslims acting otherwise in recent times,” he said.

 

The soft spoken Sheikh warned that Islam is still what it is, but it is people who practice the religion that have changed. And it is never out of place for Muslim faithful(s) to retrace their steps and act according to the dictates of almighty Allah as prescribed in the Hadith and Sunnah.

 

Highlight of the Ramadan lecture, now in its fourth week was the recitation of a Surah from the Holy Qur’an by Husseinat, who is the daughter of Alhaji Olawale Haruna Ariyo, Founder of the foundation. Her composed gesture throughout the rendition sent wave of pride through countenance of the Ariyos’ as they listened and watched with pride.

 

Alhaji Ariyo, who is the founder of OHAF commend the good works of the Cordinator, Ustaz Sulaimon Olugbade and his counterpart. He also urged everyone at the event to remain steadfast in their fate, as he recognised some of his former secondary school mates who graced the occasion. He said: “I will continue to appreciate everyone presence, may our faith and belief remain steadfast as we continue to actualise our dreams of making Al-Janah.”

 

 

OHAF Ramadan lecture which is billed to round-off in the fourth week of Islamic Holy month of Ramadan will feature Qur’anic competition from different categories with lots of prizes and scholarship benefit for winners and participants.
